Introducing SwiftLaw Conductor — agentic execution for private fund legal work

Team SwiftLaw·Apr 28, 2026

Today we're rolling out SwiftLaw Conductor — the agentic layer of the SwiftLaw platform that plans, dispatches, and supervises the legal work behind a private fund, end-to-end.

Conductor is the brain that sits on top of our document automation engine. You give it an objective in plain English; it figures out the steps, runs the right specialized agents in the right order, and hands you back a reviewable result.

What SwiftLaw does today

Before getting into Conductor, a quick recap of the platform for newer readers.

SwiftLaw is the AI workspace for private fund legal work. We help emerging managers, multi-PM hedge fund platforms, and the lawyers who serve them stand up funds, manage ongoing operations, and keep legal documents consistent — without the cost or latency of a traditional Big Law engagement.

  • Fund formation — LPAs, subscription documents, side letters, management entity docs, and filings, generated and customized from your deal terms.
  • Ongoing operations — amendments, investor onboarding, side letter tracking, MFN analysis, and closing mechanics.
  • Workspace — versioned documents, audit trails, comments, and human review checkpoints in one place.
  • Usage-based pricing — a predictable monthly credit pool instead of billable hours.

Why Conductor

Most "AI for legal" tools make a single drafter or single reviewer faster. That isn't the bottleneck for fund teams.

The bottleneck is coordination — making sure a term negotiated in a side letter shows up consistently in the LPA, that a new SMA pulls from the right management entity, that an amendment touches every downstream document, and that nothing falls through the cracks when matters span weeks and people.

Conductor is built for exactly that.

How it works

You describe an outcome. Conductor breaks it into a plan, executes each step with a specialized agent, and surfaces the work for review at the right moments.

A single instruction — "launch a new SMA for this PM with these economics" — now triggers:

  • Entity setup and document generation across the LPA, subscription documents, and management entity agreements
  • Consistent application of deal terms across every document in the matter
  • Side letter intake, comparison against the LPA, and MFN exposure flagging
  • Filing prep and compliance artifacts queued for human sign-off
  • A live status view of where each step stands, what's blocked, and what needs review

What's new in this release

  • Multi-step planning — Conductor decomposes a high-level objective into a dependency graph of legal tasks before executing.
  • Specialized agents — drafting, comparison, MFN analysis, filings, and review each have their own purpose-built agent with its own guardrails.
  • Human review gates — every plan ships with explicit checkpoints where a fund lawyer signs off before downstream steps run.
  • Cross-document consistency — when a term changes in one place, Conductor identifies and updates every affected document.
  • Audit trail by default — every agent action, prompt, and human decision is recorded against the matter.

Who it's for

Conductor is generally available to all SwiftLaw customers — emerging managers spinning up new vehicles, multi-PM platforms onboarding new strategies, and fund counsel teams that want execution leverage without giving up oversight.
